Have been googling around the above topic. Haven't come out with any solid finding yet. Wonder do you use pacifier to your baby? Will there be any side effect like misalignment of teeth and etc? Be great if you could provide your own experience....

Hong, will it really help the baby? concern that the baby will be addicted to it. My mum was telling me that they have to purposely put medicated oil on it to avoid me from sucking it. But they also told me that i go to the paip and washed it off......:) Anyway, my wife will be experimenting on it soon.

somehow i think the baby feel more "secure" kuah when they are sucking on something during thier "extremly free time"...... and they tend to stop crying when they r sucking it.... they can addicted to it...... but i always ask my son:"give me cheuk cheuk". then he will take it out from mouth by hand or just throw away... they understand our language somehow someway even though they cant speak yet....

It all depends on the user eventually. If she fusses a lot before dozing off or just feeling a bit stressed, try giving her one to sooth her. Some babies naturally reject the pacifier. Some babies suck their thumb, which is worse from the expereinces I hear. So, let your baby decide for herself. But generally, pacifier isn't a bad thing. Get those orthodontic ones so her teeth won't be affected much. Hope that helps!

According to YunShin, she doesn't like the pacifier so much. Eventually, YunShin just sooth her to sleep and she will split it off when she dozed. Great to hear such an experience from you Aruri. Need to consult you more often...:)

I think sharing my experiences sounds better than 'consulting'.. hahhaha, I myself still learning, but I'm very happy to share!
